What is Sorare?
Sorare is a Fantasy Football Game based on Blockchain, where you can win rewards for choosing the best lineups. On Sorare you can manage your teams, participate in tournaments, trade your cards and build the perfect collection.

Digital football tickets
Imagine yourself back in the time of the Panini football pictures. Every new football season, during every EC or the Football World Cup, Panini released a new scrapbook, where as a collector could buy a pack of football pictures to fill your scrapbook.
In that respect Sorare resembles the “old” Panini football cards, but now it concerns digital football cards in the form of NFTs. With these digital football tickets you can set up a virtual team, which you can then register for various tournaments. You as the manager/player of the game can buy these digital tickets in three ways:
- Option 1: At the auction
New players’ football tickets are continuously offered at the auction, with the highest bidder becoming the owner of the ticket. - Option 2: In the marketplace
If you want to buy a ticket from another manager, you can buy football tickets on the marketplace that other managers offer for sale. - Option 3: Via a direct offer
If you see a football ticket with another manager/player in his or her portfolio, you can make this manager/player a direct offer to buy the ticket. You can make an offer of money, of a combination of money and a football ticket that you own. The current owner of the ticket can then accept your offer from treaties.
Payment methods
You can pay the football cards in two ways, namely directly via a credit card, or through the Cryptocurrency Ethereum. Every Sorare user has a digital wallet in their account. On this digital wallet you can deposit Ethereum via a credit card, or an external Cryptocurrency wallet that you already own.
If you are not at all aware of how payments via cryptocurrencies work or if you have very little experience with this yet, do not be alarmed. Sorare is so easy to use that everything falls into place. And you as a user do not have to use Crypto payments at all, because you can simply buy football tickets at the auction and the marketplace with your credit card.

Is Sorare Gambling?
Sorare is not a gambling product. It was examined by the Gaming Commission in 2021 and they concluded that the NFT-based fantasy football platform does not require a license. To back up this result, Sorare has issued a statement advising that they do not offer any form of gambling on the platform.
